If you’ve been to a washroom in a provincial, state or federal park in BC, Alberta, Alaska, Colorado or Ontario you may have used a Pan-Abode pit toilet! They are popular in camping, wilderness retreat and outdoor work or education settings as they are the same easy to assemble, low maintenance western red cedar interlocking log system as our homes and buildings but with using a wood grade lower to be more economical and with a vented clear roof for natural light and air flow. With the logs natural resistance to bugs, rot and mildew they are a nice upgrade in the outdoor facilities department!
We have many styles to choose from including single and double, front facing / opposite facing entrances, accessible/ADA compliant and classic pit toilet or with room for a composter.
